What’s included, in plain terms
- Access
- Immediate, online, on any device. The pass runs for one licence term (12 months ending on your licence expiry date). Progress is saved; you can stop a segment and pick it up later.
- Points
- Informal CPD, 1 point per hour of instruction. Each course can be claimed once per builder under BC Housing’s rules, so the catalogue is refreshed every year. You report your own points in the LRB portal; we give you every field.
- Records
- A completion record per course with course title, your name, licence number, description, completion date, provider, learning method, hours, competency and credit type. Kept in your vault for as long as you need them; BC Housing requires three years after the term ends.
- Refunds
- Full refund within 7 days of purchase if you have not completed a course. Otherwise none. Full terms on the refund policy.
- Renewal
- Opt-in only. Nothing is charged automatically unless you have expressly turned renewal on, and we email you before any renewal charge.
Pricing questions
What exactly does the pass include?
Every published course for one licence term: 12 courses and 26 hours of instruction today, plus any course we publish during your term. A completion record for each course. An audit pack for the term. Renewal reminders at 90, 60 and 30 days.
Is tax included?
No. Prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude GST (5%). The checkout shows the itemized total before you pay. PST is not currently charged.
Does the pass renew automatically?
No. There is no automatic renewal unless you expressly opt in. We email you before your term ends and, if you have opted in to renewal, before any renewal charge.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, in full within 7 days of purchase if you have not completed a course. After 7 days, or once a course has been completed, the purchase is non-refundable. See the refund policy for the full terms and your rights under the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act.
How do company plans work?
Buy 3 or more seats in one order and each seat is 15% off. Each seat is a full annual pass assigned to one licence's CPD nominee, with its own records and certificates. An administrator can see which seats are complete.
Can I share a pass between two people?
No. One pass is one person, because the completion record is issued in that person's name against one builder licence. Buy a company plan if more than one nominee needs points.
